If you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, at least you can wear one.

A Little Forked Up offers one of a kind pieces lovingly created from antique silverware, fine china and crystal.  I'm sure my Scottish ancestors were the first in my lineage to make jewelry from silverware.  Not able to afford silver or other precious metals to make engagement rings or other pieces of jewelry, a fork or a spoon would disappear from  M'Lord & M'Lady's collection only to reappear as something spectacular and new (not to mention unrecognizable).  I am here carrying on the tradition (just not stealing the silverware) ! Growing up in the 60's and 70's, there was a resurgence of silverware artistry.  The hippies once again made spoon rings popular making a statement with rings made from silver spoons and forks basically giving a middle finger salute to the government and establishment of the time.  The silver spoon represented wealth and privilege, so to twist and bend it into something new made it accessible to everyone.  Thus my motto:  If you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, at least you can wear one.
